From us to all of you.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Bliz-atch Be-atch!

Almost 3 feet of the white stuff came down Saturday night, burying NJ in a blanket of frustration and inconveniencing homeless people throughout the State. Personally, I love the snow. I guess this is my Canadian side coming out and has nothing to do with wearing bulky clothes to hide my fat. My girls had a great time in the snow. School was cancelled Monday which means I will come home to Karen about to drown the kids in the bath tub. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Fw: Take That To The Bank

Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry From: "Geri oliverie" <fdgerio@comcast.net> Date: Wed, 16 Dec 2009 14:42:19 -0500 To: <csknoll74@gmail.com> Subject: Take That To The Bank You know the old addage "The only stupid question is the one not asked"? Time and time again I find myself avoiding the need to ask basic, fundamental questions about things, and it is this lack of initiative that has left me astounded by the claim made in a new book I am reading.  One question I never asked was "What is money based on?" To my horror, I have learned that the "U.S. Dollar" is pegged to NOTHING! We came off the gold standard decades ago (begun under FDR and finalized under Nixon), so now we have 'notes of legal tender' issued by the Federal Reserve (a private institution, not a government agency....think FEDEX) that are backed up by our Government's promise to repay the debt issued to created the currency. It's that time of year again....

Well, another Christmas is upon us and it finds me, as usual, unprepared. I have not done one bit of shopping yet. Oh well, nothing like the suspense of last minute panic shopping. This year my Dad and Sharon are coming down from Canada. We cannot wait to see them. It has been 2 years. I hope this post finds everyone doing well. Take care and have a great Christmas.

Drama Queen

Cattie has joined, by her own will, a drama club at school. I am so proud of her for doing this, but I wish it wasn't in acting. To me, actors and Hollywood are vile, useless byproducts of society. Am I being too harsh?

Turkey Day

Well another Thanksgiving has come and gone, which means my procrastinating holiday shopping habits are kicking in. God, I hate Christmas shopping. I got to push my way through crowds of cologned-up guidos, old ladies with loaded diapers and beaten down mothers dragging their screaming kids behind them. Than, I always get ambushed by Middle Eastern perfume saleswomen who practically tackle me to get my attention. All this bullshit just to spend hundreds of dollars on crap. Merry Chris.....ah, who the hell am I kidding! Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

A Clear Breakdown for Why Sex is Such A Rare Commodity.

I wish I could take credit for this, but my Dad is the one who found it. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
The "Daddy and Me Dance" that Cattie's Girls Scouts had turned into more of a girl rave party....the Dads were just there to take pictures and video tape. Oh, well she had a good time.

Cattie's Big Dance

As part of her Girl Scouts, Cattie recently had a Daddy and me dance. She had a great time and I got to see many of her friends. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Our Trip to Freedom's Birthplace....And prison

Just last week the family and I went to Philadelphia overnight to view the historic sights. I have always wanted to go, but was unsure how eager the girls would be. This was the first time they had been to a big city, but they loved it. Our first stop was the Franklin Institute, located slightly west of th e immediate downtown area. Greeting you as you enter the Institute is a giant statue of a seated Benjamin Franklin. The first exhibit we went to was the Giant Heart. This almost 2 story model allows people to walk through a human heart, following the path blood takes. Kaeli actually went through there twice. We spent the remaining day visiting the remaining exhibits and taking a double-decker bus tour of Philly. The next day we toured Indepence Hall, Congress Hall, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklins' grave, Betsy Ross' house, and the National Constitution Center. I was most excited to visit Independence Hall, the site where the U.S. Constitution was debated and ratified. We to

Back in business

After cancelling my services with Verizon, I lost my old blog. So I am starting fresh....like a morning flower.
